IELTS Overview
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognized test assessing English proficiency for study or work in English-speaking countries. It has two versions: IELTS Academic, for higher education or professional registration, and IELTS General Training, for migration, work experience, or training programs in English-speaking nations.
IELTS Test Structure
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is divided into four main sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The Listening test includes four recordings, and candidates must answer 40 questions. The Reading section consists of 40 questions based on three reading passages, which vary in difficulty. Writing requires candidates to complete two tasks: a descriptive task and an essay. The Speaking test involves a face-to-face interview with an examiner, where candidates answer questions on familiar topics and engage in a discussion. The IELTS evaluates proficiency in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, scored on a scale from 0 to 9.
