D-SAT Overview
The D-SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized exam primarily taken by high school juniors and seniors in the United States. It assesses students' readiness for college by evaluating their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Many colleges and universities use SAT scores as a critical factor in their admissions process, alongside other components such as GPA, essays, and extracurricular activities, to determine an applicant's academic potential and overall fit for the institution.
D-SAT Test Structure
The D-SAT assesses skills in Reading, Writing, and Math. The Reading section involves analyzing passages from literature, science, and social studies, with multiple-choice questions on main ideas and vocabulary. Writing tests grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. Math consists of two parts: No Calculator, focusing on basic concepts, and Calculator, tackling more complex problems. Each section is scored from 200-800, and the total score ranges from 400-1600. The test is now digital, featuring multiple-choice and student-produced response questions.
